Gloomy September in Britain was calling for a cheeky jet set to Hua Hin in beautiful Thailand. This was our (myself and my boyfriend Tom) first time visiting this amazing country and we were beyond excited. A lovely couple recommended Hua Hin to us as we mentioned that we really wanted to visit Thailand, they sold the idea with promises of beautiful scenery, bags of charm and a hotel that would knock our socks off. It did not disappoint.
After 2 eight hour flights and a 3 hour taxi journey from Bangkok we had arrived and boy had we arrived.
We were shown to our magnificent Lagoon room where we had a ‘I think they have put us in the wrong room’ moment; ridiculously high ceilings, a huge marble bath tub that opened in to the room, a beautiful sleeping area all finished with modern yet very traditional Thai touches. The highlight of the room for me was the beautiful balcony. It’s still to this day my ‘happy place’. When I am having a bad day I shut my eyes and mentally transport myself back…
They had some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen!
The Lagoon wing
Many an afternoon were spent lounging in the Loy Nam bar, sipping cocktails and relaxing….
As we were staying in one of the Deluxe Lagoon rooms we were able to use the lagoon pool, It was absolutely spectacular!
Harpers Bazaar also have a nice write up of the resort, you can find it here
