Now I have to say I’m not a fan of chain restaurants but I make an exception for Jamie Oliver’s little collection of Italians. This Saturday brought us to Leeds and there was nowhere else that could of tamed my rumbling tummy…
The restaurant is set in what once upon a time was a bank. It’s light, airy, rustic and fabulous!
We started with a sharer board of delicious cured Italian meats, cheeses, olives and pickles stacked carefully on two tins of chopped tomatoes.
My little sister joined us, she had the baked chestnut mushrooms.
For the main course we were all feeling meaty, I had feather steak while the others enjoyed slow braised lamb, we all shared polenta and posh chips… Absolutely delicious!
Belly rubbingly stuffed, we still managed to find room for a desert in the form of almond tart and vanilla cream washed down with a double espresso…
The perfect end to a lovely afternoon up , filled with genuine Essex charm and gorgeous food!
