It has finally stopped raining! Strolling out for a relaxed Sunday brunch has become a bit of a treat again. The past few days in Manchester have been glorious!
Clear blue skies, beer gardens full to the rafters, wandering the streets in dresses, sandals and jean shorts. Proper summertime stuff.
I can’t tell you how good it feels. Just the excuse I needed to don my new floaty maxi from Zara – I am obsessed with it. It is so floaty and flattering. I plan on wearing it all summer long!
First stop, Grindsmith, for a leisurely sit in the sun, agood dose of people watching and morning coffee.
Next stop was Takk, a cute little coffee shop in the Northern Quarter that knocks up a cracking little brunch selection.
Iced coffee to take the edge off the city humidity and a quick scout of the area for pokemon, naturally.
I went for a Takk M.A.C. Sandwich – maple smoked streaky bacon, smashed avo, chipotle ketchup on sourdough. A monster of a bacon but, I absolutely devoured it.
Soph went for lemon pancakes with added bacon and I quote ‘serious competition’ with some of the best in town.
Museli with coconut yougurt, a perfect dish for the table. Apparently brunch dessert is a thing.
Perfect fuel for tackling the summer heat.
Dress – Zara
Bag – Prada
Sandals – ASOS
Takk is well worth a trip if you find yourself hungry in the Northern Quarter. The bacon sandwich is an absolute must!
