Bangkok has to be my absolute favourite Asian city, it has so much to offer, from stunning hotels, to awe inspiring temples, unbelievably good food and out of this world rooftop bars.  It’s also one of the best destinations if you love markets, rummaging and eating as much as I do. This trip was all about exploring the W hotels of Thailand and boy, was my trip kicked off in true W style. Check out my airport pick up.  After 18…

Evelyn’s cafe bar, Manchester

Something monumental has happened. I think I may have found somewhere for us all to go for a guilt free January brunch! I stumbled across Evelyn’s  between Christmas and New Year and had unknowingly found a temporary antidote to my bloated, over indulged self. The cafe itself is absolutely gorgeous. Light and airy with exposed brick to give it a bit of an edge and wild flowers on every table. It’s all rather dreamy. As you can see, the menu…

Siam Smiles, Manchester

I’m absolutely over the moon to have finally found my go-to Thai restaurant in the city. Hidden away in a supermarket in China town, a tiny kitchen cooks up the most delicious soups, noodles and nibbles. On one side you have the supermarket selling everything edible and Thai that you could possibly think of. The other side homes the tables and chairs. It has a real ‘street food’ vibe to it and no airs and graces whatsoever. Head over to the fridge…

Northern Soul, Manchetser

I’m a big fan sandwiches.  I don’t mean those flimsy, little things you buy in plastic from your local supermarket. I’m talking an absolute beast, oozing its’ fillings all over the place and seducing you with a glance. There is a little joint in Manchester that has it all going on. A little stall/shack on the Northern Quarter end of town. They serve up the mac daddies of the sandwich world. The menu changes quite regularly so I had to visit twice, naturally. On my…

Australasia, Manchester

Australasia is a foodie playground cleverly disguised as a glass pyramid. An old favourite of mine for cocktails, dinners and parties, but there’s always more to discover. I popped over a few weeks ago with my sister to sample their new menu and oh boy, were we in for a treat.  The restaurant is just off the main Spinningfields square and is rather beautiful. It’s minimalistic and flooded with natural feeling light which, considering it’s tucked away underground is quite a victory. It mixes…

Maison MK, Marrakech

I visited a seriously magical little restaurant whilst in Marrakech. It’s on a rooftop in the middle of town. Maison MK is peaceful, relaxed, bright and utterly beautiful.  Now at this point I would usually ramble on and tell you about the different dishes and how they were, however, when getting all my pictures together for the post I realised I can’t remember what any of them were. Well, this is embarrassing. So instead I will just leave you to have a scroll…

Marrakech Moments

Marrakech has been on my travel hit list for quite some time. After a quick hop, skip and a jump, (Manchester to Marrakech) I found myself snuggling into a feathery, cloud like cocoon of a bed in the tropical oasis that is the Four Seasons. After a poolside breakfast of dates, watermelon & mint tea, we made our way to the iconic souks. As you walk into the main square you find yourself enveloped by a cloud of smells and sounds unlike anything you…
